ABOUT
Requiem Pandemus is an exciting new work, composed during the COVID-19 global pandemic, written to remember all those who died during this time, whether from COVID-19 or other causes.
Text: Latin Requiem Mass (1. Introit, 2. Kyrie eleison, 3. Dies irae, 4. Rex tremendæ, 5. Recordare, 6. Hostias, 7. Sanctus, 8. Remembrance (orchestra only), 9. Lux æterna, 10. Pie Jesu, 11. Libera me / In paradisum.)
Scoring: 3fl. (3rd dbl. picc.), 2ob., 2cl.(Bb), b.cl., 2bsn (2nd dbl. cntrabsn), 4hrn, 2tpt(Bb), 3tbn., tba, timp., 2perc., hrp, stgs.
Choir plus 4 soloists (soprano [to top D], mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone).
Percussion requirements: timpani (1 player) and percussion (2 players). B.D., S.D., sus. cym., cymbals, tam-tam, glock., tub. bells (D, F, G, A [all in octave above middle C]), 2 toms (mid, low), triangle, coin, mark tree.
